So here are the top five things that made my life happier/yummier/easier this week:
1. This Toddler Bed – is what we selected for DD. She LOVES it. At night she goes right to sleep, doesn’t crawl out…I am amazed. During the day, she does occasionally climb out when she is supposed to be napping. I can hear her playing, talking…it’s pretty cute. But then when she’s tired enough, she climbs right in and takes a great nap. Praise God! My child has transitioned much better than I expected!
2. Stencils Online – While I love and respect anyone who has climbed on the "Wonderful Grafitti" bandwagon, I found their prices too high. I found Stencils Online, where you can create custom stencils for a fraction of the cost. Mine cost 13.50 or something like that. The same text would have cost about 75.00 at WG. I have already received my proof, and I’ll let you know how the customer service continues from there. Stay tuned.
3. Network Solutions – For a scant 9.00 bucks more a month, I was able to register my domain name privately, i.e., when someone does a whois search, they get a forwarding address from Network Solutions instead of our home address, phone number, etc. This measure is supposed to cut back on spam, etc. in addition to the additional protection of our personal info. I’m all for cutting back on spam, etc! The best part – I pressed the "submit" button on my order, did a whois search just to check, and it was already changed. LOVE that!
4. New Bible Study – Bob and I regulary attend a small group bible study with other friends from our church. We loved the one we were going to, but it was 30 minutes away. Factor in the time it took to drop off the kids at the grandparents, and the whole thing was starting to get impractical. We loved the friends there. We loved the fact that our kids got a weekly visit to Grandma and Pop-Pop’s. But we always had to leave the study early in order to get our kids home at a reasonable hour. So we made the tough decsion to check out studies closer to home. We went to one last night. It was great. We think it may be a good fit for us.
5. Steel’s Fudge – Mom and Dad went to Ocean City and Atlantic City this week and they brought me back my favorite treat from the shore. Thanks guys! I’m applying it to my thighs right now! :)
