Blizzard!
Just a little over 24 hours ago, DD and I stepped out on our front porch to watch the first tiny, seemingly innocent snowflakes fall on our front lawn. Now, a day later, our neighborhood is blanketed (or should I say smothered?) in over 2 feet of snow. While the snow still fell, we enjoyed a late breakfast of buttermilk waffles and bacon. Later, the kids painted their pinewood derby cars and we watched Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. (Very cute, funny movie, by the way.) Once the movie was finished, so was the snow. We bundled up, headed out, and attempted to dig our way to the street with moderate success. The best part? More snow on Tuesday! Yikes! At this rate, there will still be snow on the ground in May!
