"Sunshine, Legos and Boundry Testing"
The kids slept well last night. I’m afraid I can’t say the same for myself. But that’s ok. I kind of expected it. I have real issues sleeping away from home. It takes my body several days to get used to new sleeping arrangements.
Anyway, I did get a little sleep, and the kids slept in a bit. Bob headed out to his conference and the kids and I began our day. We ate a big breakfast, took a short detour to the hotel lobby in order to reunite DD with blankie…(thanks, Pop-Pop!) and then headed back over to Downtown Disney for shopping and lunch (We are killing time over the next day until we can all do the parks together.
Our day was great – beautiful sunshine, fun shopping at Downtown Disney’s Lego land, a boat ride and a bus ride that the kids really enjoyed thanks to the very lively Michael the Bus Driver. But I could tell even as the day was getting started that the kids were doing some MAJOR boundry testing. All day, the kids were pulling stuff they would never attempt at home. It’s kinda like spending your day with an adorable little ticking time bomb. One minute they are having the time of their life, and behaving like angels. The next minute they seem to have been replaced with an extremely disrespectful pod person. So now we are back in the room, decompressing and getting ready for bed while Bob is at his conference reception. Tomorrow we are hitting the resort playground and possibly the beach at Disney’s Boardwalk…more soon!
