Disney – So as far as my vacation update posting goes, there was a Day 5, 6, and 7…just never got around to posting them. Here’s a summary in a nutshell:
Day 5 MGM studios – We had a great time going to shows, taking tours, ate at Sci Fi Drive In and Mama Melroses. So fun. Other highlights – DD inadvertantly peed on the sidewalk at MGM (and with that, we have officially become one of the families I used to roll my eyes at back before I had kids) and while entering MGM that morning, I somehow managed to get distracted enough that I walked right into a pole…SMACK…right into it. No harm done, though…amazingly.
Day 6 Pool Day at the Resort – We decompressed on Day 6 with a fun day at the swimming pool. DS is making progress in the pool…getting used to the water, slowly but surely. DD had her first real dip in a pool on this trip. The child was all but doing the doggie paddle by the time we were done. She was even jumping into her daddy’s arms from the steps. Crazy kid.
We had dinner at the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. YUM. What a great way to close out our trip.
Day 7 Plane Ride Home
Nothing really eventful about this day, except for the fact that we were waiting at the gate with a family that embodied just about every "Obnoxious Family" cliche I could think of. Or maybe I was just annoyed because we were leaving Florida.
*Sigh* what a fun vacation. Really. I would go back in a heartbeat (if we could only afford it…)
My kids must be related to your kids! Ben is still warming his way up to being comfy in the water and Ellie was like a fish from the first day. I’m curious to see how they’ll be this summer!
