The Blog Was, Wasn’t, Then Was Again.

So it’s been an interesting evening. See, I abandoned this once beloved blog a few months ago and started a new blog specifically to follow my start into homeschooling. Well, in browsing homeschool blogs today, I noticed that someone else had a very fun and well established homeschooling blog entitled “Press On” which, obviously, was very similar to my previous title, “Pressing On.” Since I had been thinking of changing my blog’s name anyway, I decided now was the time. Ever the ambitious little webhead, I made an attempt to not only change the title of the blog, but change the directory address as well.

Silly, silly me.

Now, I knew it wouldn’t be as easy as just changing the directory name in ftp. I knew this. I knew that there were all kinds of codes and scripts happily nestled in my little WordPress universe whose very existence hinged on my directory’s name. I took all the necessary measures to save my blog’s content before fiddling around in the admin panel. Or so I thought.

Long story short, My homeschooling blog developed an identity crisis. To the point where I couldn’t even get in to try to export my posts. Thankfully, I had left this blog untouched and there were only a handful of posts on the other one…so here I am. If you’ve found me, I’m exceedingly proud of you.

Over the next week or so, I will attempt to post what content I had already provided on the other site, go back to fill in some blanks and updates where this blog left off, and just tidy up in general.

So pardon the dust…seems it takes A LOT of work to undo the damage inflicted by one misguided keystroke. But isn’t that always the way?

Oh…and the new title…One clover and a bee…is a stanza from an Emily Dickinson poem. I’ll tell you more about it when it’s not 2 in the morning.
