Weaving Daddy Into the Mix

For several weeks now, I’d been wanting to find a way to involve my husband in our Weaver lessons, in addition to his prayer support. This thought process happily coincided with my discovery of resource pages R-11 - R-21 of Interlock. Each of these pages consists of a number (1-10) in a charming illustration of ten different Bible accounts. I wasn’t sure when they were going to used in the curriculum, then I noticed on day 3 of week 5 it mentions that those activities are free to be used as you wish. Perfect! So now, every other Friday (or whenever it works best for him), Bob will be teaching a Bible lesson (each Bible reference is listed on page R-21) that goes along with the number illustration, and then the kids and I will do the illustration craft together afterward. Today was The Parable of the Lost Coin:

Daddy Teaches

Bob placed a bunch of cups upside down all around our living room, and after his lesson on the parable, the kids got to search under the cups for the “lost coins.” Smart boy that he is, hubby even had two groups of cups so each child could find their own coin.

  1. This is so sweet. I love the pics of your husband teaching the Bible. Don’t you just love it!

I am on the Weaver WebBlog Ring just like you. And we just started using Weaver this year as well. We are in Volume 1.

Great to see a father ministering to his children!

    Blessings,
    Heather L.
