Maybe it’s the perfectionist in me, but I just love it when our Interlock curriculum dovetails with the current season, or current events. We have been studying stars in week 16 and 17 of The Weaver Interlock in homeschool so far this December. I’ve been happily working in the Christmas star books like the one pictured above (check out my library for more info.) In addition, our God’s World News current events lesson included a neat story last week about The Deerlick Community, a village catering to the needs of amateur and professional astronomers. If you have never checked out God’s World News, give them a look. Their kid-friendly “newspapers” make current events very interesting for little ones (and older ones, too!)
