My Own Little Mad Scientist
A conversation yesterday:
My son: “Mom! I’m making a machine out of Legos that will bring (DD’s) Barbies to life!”
Me: “I’m not sure I want a whole lot of little Barbies running around, hun. They’ll be under foot.”
My Son: “No, Mom. When they come to life, they will grow to regular human size.”
Me: “Oh, ok, then. But they are doing their own laundry.”
Speaking of mad science, we checked out a book last week at the library that DS and I really enjoyed. It’s called Franny K. Stein, Mad Scientist - The Invisible Fran by Jim Benton.
There are a whole series of books about Franny, apparently. This is the only one we’ve read, so far. Despite the abundant use of the word stupid and it’s derivatives, this book is extremely funny and cute. We’ll be checking out another book in the series this week.
