I set this plan in my head that I am going to tackle one room a month in my house. Each month, I’ll pick a room and figure out some priorities, projects, or decorating that should be done in the room. I’ll set a schedule and get it done! Sounds great, doesn’t it? *wink* I hope I can get past my procrastinating ways and really do this each month.
October is my studio month. You see, previously, my scrapbook room was in the guest room and DD was in her nursery. As I mentioned in a previous post, DD moved out of the nursery into the guestroom early this month. So I figured now was the perfect time to overhaul my stuff, move it all over to the nursery, and set up my studio. So far I have:
- Sorted through all the stuff that was in the guestroom closet (which is now DD’s) and moved all that stuff over to the studio closet (and organized it) Phew!
- Moved all the baby stuff out, and all the scrapping stuff in (and set up DD’s big girl room in the process…another big phew!)
- Took down the Pooh border.
- Bought and convinced my husband to hang 2 bulletin/magnet boards for the wall
- Repainted the shelf that was in the nursery to go with the studios color scheme
- Bought and painted the quote stencil on the wall (just finished that tonight)
- Asked my darling hubby to pick me up some black paint so I can repaint the cabinet/hutch that now holds my supplies.
Amazingly enough, I think I’m on target to have this done by the end of the month. By November 1st, my studio will be all set! I’ll post pictures tomorrow.
