I am so grateful for their dinner invitation on Thursday. Yummy food…chicken, ribs, rice, cheesy potatoes, salads…needless to say my portion control was out the window. It was great welcoming Gabe back to the east coast! Thanks, Kathy!
Mom and Dad
This week was both long and short all at the same time. Have you ever had one of those weeks? On Friday, Mom and Dad (otherwise known as Gram and Ho Ho) took DS and DD to the park during our lunch visit. Me? I went up to my mom and dad’s room and took a cat nap on their uber comfy bed (fluffy pillows with satin covers…got to love it). It was a great break in an otherwise hectic week. Thanks, guys!
Take 5 Candy Bars
Have you ever tried these things? There was one in the Halloween candy stash and I gave it a try. Ladies and Gentlemen, I have a new favorite candy bar.
Laundry
I’ve been convincing myself all day that laundry is a blessing. It means we are clothed…God has provided. If I did not say this to myself today, I would have been compelled to let out a yelp, climb on my rooftop, and dance a jig of insanity. If you took all the laundry I did today, and piled it one article on top of another in front of me, I would have literally been up to my eyeballs in laundry. I don’t mind putting the kids’ laundry away–their stuff is cute and small and fun to hang in their little closets. But Bob’s stuff and my stuff? Not so much. But like I said, it’s a blessing just to know we have these material blessings.
Awww…who am I kidding? Laundry duty stinks. I’ll just keep this on my list for yucks.
Blogging
I’ve been blogging on typepad now for one month. I’ve actually been blogging in one form or another since 2003. I started on Blogger with a private blog…which I didn’t keep up with. Then I started a public blogger blog, then bounced to Yahoo 360 (blech – they have a lot of work to do), and then to ModBlog (Network crash, anyone?)
I must say having a monthly fee to type out my thoughts seemed silly at first, but it’s keeping me interested and keeping me posting. I’m enjoying this so much, and I even have my sister-in-law blogging now :) (Hi, Sharon! *Smooch*) I’ve loved visiting the blogs of fellow scrappers and getting to know these kindred spirits of cardstock and photos a little better. So if you happen by my blog today, leave a comment and say "hi." I love hearing from you!! And I promise I’ll return the visit!

Oh, I’m excited to have found your blot! It’s great! How ironic that one of my babes brought in a treat for me from their Halloween bag this afternoon and it was a Take Five bar. Oh, it is goo-oood! I was just downstairs loading the dryer thinking that I SHOULD be thankful that we have nice warm clothes to wear and that we have multiple outfits, not just one. But, you are so right. I still hate laundry! Have a great weekend! Keep on posting, I’ll be back!
