The kids were up while I got ready this morning. As I left the bathroom, I realized they were no longer hanging out in my bed watching The Wiggles. I figured they had ended up in DS’s room at the toy bins. But as I headed down the hall, I spotted them all cozy and creating in my studio. DS had off from school today, and I was so glad we had a little extra time this morning. I sat back, and let the kids draw and scribble before heading down to breakfast and out to MOPS.
MOPS is always so good for my heart and soul. The speaker was AWESOME today, and as I picked up DS, the MOPPETS caregiver gave DS an unsolicited compliment…"He’s such a well-behaved, well-adjusted boy." I could have grabbed that woman and given her a big smooch on her face. DS has been a handful this week, which is unusual for him. He always has a tendency to whine, but he seems to have kicked it up a notch this week. It was so good to hear her words today. But of course, as DS said earlier this week, while explaining his poor behavior, "But I’m always good in school Mommy!"
