Art Show

I think I may have mentioned once or twice before on this blog that last school year we started (and love) the ARTistic Pursuits curriculum for our art classes. Well, one of the lessons was “Artists Show Their Work,” so this past weekend, that’s just what we did! I had been setting aside artwork throughout the year, and after mounting it on colored paper and labeling each work of art, I hung the lovely creations “clothes-line style” across our classroom. On each child’s desk, I placed some of the media we used in our art, as well as the curriculum itself, and some artist storybooks we have read. We invited the grandparents, my sister’s family, and my hubby’s aunt and uncle. The event could have easily classified as an open house as well, since I created a display of all the books/curricula we will be using this coming school year. Here are some photos!

  1. We will be using ARTistic Pursuits for the very first time this year and I’m looking forward to it. A little nervous because it’s something new and I do hope I teach the kids correctly but still excited!
