Ocean Mural
Prior to the Christmas break, our homeschool was in Chapter 6 of Weaver Volume 1 (Famine, Bodies of Water). Here’s our ocean mural. We used a big, flattened cardboard box as our canvas. We used construction paper in varied shades of blue to show the depth of the ocean. My kindergartner had one section to decorate, and my 2nd grader had his own section, too. I added some sea life as well. :-) Here’s the photos!

Oh, your mural is great! We’re doing Swimming Creatures of the Fifth Day (Apologia) and making an ocean box instead of a mural. But I really love how you can see all of your things more clearly.
Neat idea about the 365 days of photos too. That will certainly be a keepsake.
Love the mural-sometimes there is just nothing like homeschooling. You can do things that would never be done in school. Looks fabulous! :)
Thanks Hol!
Thanks, Michelle! The ocean box idea sounds neat too!
How fun! They did a great job! We did this about 3 or 4 years ago. My kids absolutely loved it! I think it’s one project that they’ll always remember. They were so upset when I had to throw it out! So we took pictures…. Thank goodness for technology! Many blessings.
