A Cure for Brain Freeze

…or scrapping mojo freeze, in this case. Usually, when I’m having a tough time getting back into my scrapping groove, I’ll do what I call a "no rules, just right" layout (to borrow a slogan from The Outback Steakhouse.)

I don’t worry about journaling. Sometimes I don’t even worry about the title. I keep it quick. One layout in one hour. I don’t worry about the details or getting it perfect. I just slap it on the cardstock and have fun. I had fun last night with this one.

Brainfreeze

In other news, I picked DS up for a snuggle and hug tonight, (I rarely pick him up, he’s so big and heavy now I risk pulling a muscle) but I just had to snuggle and hug my guy. I gave him kisses, and did my usual "Where did my baby boy go?!? You’re growing up so fast!" and after a short while, DS says:

"OK, Mommy. I think the hugs are finished now."

"What do you mean," I reply. "I love giving you hugs!"

"And I love hugging you," He replies, like a little grown-up, "But now the hugs are finished."

Alrighty, then. My almost 5 year old is now calling the hugging shots.
