The Menu and the Numbers!

I’m back and getting into the swing of regular life again! The party went well. We had about 25 guests and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves! Our menu ended up being as follows:

Taco dip tray
Shooter tray
Veggie tray
Cheese and pepperoni tray

Ceasar salad
Potatoes Au Gratin
Green beans almondine
Penne Ala Vodka
Chicken Marsala
Ham and Cheese Quiche

Poinsetta Cupcakes
Cookie Tray
Desset tray (mini cheese cakes, cannoli, that kind of stuff)

Yeah. If I’m not carfeul, I’m going to be the size of a house by January.

On a somewhat related note, I got my bloodwork results back. My cholesterol is still high.

Crap. I’m so disappointed.

I was really hoping it had gone down as a result of healthier eating (all natural, and in some cases organic) but unfortunately, in my case, the quality of the food is not the only issue. My portion control still needs work, as does my fat intake…I’m willing to admit that. But I really thought it would have gone down. I am also going to have to step up my exercise. So when you see this sneaker:

It means I worked out that day. Wish me luck! I want to bring my numbers down by at least 30 points, and my weight down by 10 pounds.

  2. Clever use of the sneaker. I like that idea. Accountability – for me, that is sometimes half the battle. If I’m held accountable, I do so much better.
