Things are going to be a little different in our homeschool next year. We have decided to use Heart of Dakota as our core curriculum this coming school year. I still like The Weaver Curriculum very much, and would still reccomend it to others, but after prayer and quite a bit of “pros and cons” analysis based on my kids, I felt very strongly that this change was needed for our family. So here’s the lowdown on what we’ll be using:
For DS, (3rd grade next year)
Preparing Hearts For His Glory
Singapore Math 3A and 3B
Rod and Staff Language Arts 3
Drawn into the Heart of Reading
For DD, (1st grade next year)
Beyond Little Hearts for His Glory
Singapore Math 1A and 1B
Explode the Code
We’re very excited! We’re hoping to go on our Summer break from June 1 through July. I’m hoping to have DS complete Cheerful Cursive during the break.

Exciting changes-I found each year with each of my kids I needed to tweak it. We used Explode the Code with Jordan and it was great. The Beyond Little Hearts for His Glory sounds neat, and I also know many who used the Singapore math and loved it. Sounds like a wonderful plan to me! ;)
