Countin’ My Blessings - Week of January 1st
Definitely time for another countin’ my blessings post.
My Husband
With our joint struggle to better our heart health, and his recent medical tests to that end…I have become more and more aware of just how much I love him. It’s like his body is mine, I want his good health and well-being as much as I want my own. I know this sounds elementary, but it’s on my heart this week. He’s such a tremendous blessing.
DD’s Eyes
Her smiling eyes have brought me a lot of joy this week. Peeking from around a sippy cup, sleepy in the middle of the night, shining as she sings her ABC’s with Daddy. Very, very wonderful eyes.
DS’s Love
I’ve been a little grumpy this week. Stress, adjustments, getting back into a normal schedule…it’s all gotten me a little "off my game." Despite my grumpiness, and despite the times this week when DS has really pushed my buttons, he still takes the time to snuggle up to me and tell me he loves me. Major blessing.
Little Things
The smell of wood-burning stoves while Bob and I did yard work today…
DS riding his new bike with no help…
Extra time to snuggle with my hubby and watch shows tonight…
Our Disney vacation next month…
Seeing our good friend’s new born baby tonight.
Just goes to show that even a somewhat melancholy week can be full of blessings.
