I mentioned this was on my list this past Christmas, right?

Well, I got it! I am IN LOVE with this bread maker. It’s the West Bend "Just for Dinner."
Unlike most bread makers, which are about the size of a hotel room safe (and about as attractive), this little guy is no larger than a rice cooker, and fits quite nicely in the back corner of my kitchen counter. It makes one small loaf in just 45 minutes. When I first opened it and I saw how small the internal mixing bowl was, I confess I was nervous it wasn’t going to make a big enough loaf. In reality, it makes just the right amount. Our little family of four can each have two generous slices. The kids LOVE the bread. So far all I’ve made is basic white, but I’m looking forward to trying other varieties…I’ve already made 3 loaves for our family dinners and a loaf for a friend last weekend.
