Public Service Announcement #2
If you’re planning your child’s birthday party, and you’re a total whack job like me, don’t bother shelling out extra money to have the party somewhere other than your house.
You will still be stressed out of your gourd.
I didn’t think I was stressed until this past weekend. We had the grandparents party on Sunday, and quite frankly, I wish I had just combined the parties and did it all last weekend. I thought the kids would have more to do and more fun if we had the kids party somewhere interesting (Winter is such a tough season for parties) and I still contend that the museum will be very fun. But man, this birthday is taking ALL MONTH to celebrate. I think I’ll be in better shape after I hit the party store on Wednesday. I think it’s the loose ends that are making me loopy.
The grandparents party was quite fun, though…we all ate out at the Texas Roadhouse (an DS favorite) and then came back to the house for cake and ice cream.
Ok. I’m going to go eat a banana and attempt to get some sleep.

I have always wanted to have my kids parties someplace other than home and so far I always have. It is less expensive that way and it usually turns out just fine. Looks like you had fun!
