I think DD may be attending PETA meetings when I’m not looking. I’m not sure of the convictions behind my daughter’s budding vegetarianism, but the girl rarely, if ever, eats meat. She loves fruit, nuts and veggies (if the veggies are prepared in an Asian way – no American vegetable preparations please) and she’s the only one in the house who will eat (with great delight) organic oat bran sticks. Were it not for the constant requests for "Ba-Bas" (sippy cups of milk heated to a precise temperature) and "Chee Ticks" (mozzerella string cheese) the kid could actually be vegan. Maybe she read up on vegan kid cuisine when I kept one of my favorite blogs, Vegan Lunchbox, up on my browser.
Meanwhile, DS is a total carnivore. He and his father discuss grilling techniques over their steak.
Too funny.
Keeps mealtime interesting, that’s for sure.
What a CUTE pic!
Kids eating habits are strange anyway. As long as your dd is happy and healthy that is all that matters. I can’t get my dd to eat any other veggie other then raw carrots. I wish she would eat veggies, we have the opposite problem.
my 5 yr old will eat anything, but I keep avoiding her questions to “where do hamburgers come from?” So far, she has accepted the answer “Wal-Mart”, LOL!!!!
Too funny. Having all boys, I think there is a link between testoterone and meat cravings. My 13 year old said to me the other night, I’m so glad we’ve been having meat at every meal lately. I like meat. For me…it’s carbs. I wish they would come up with a low protein, high carb diet that you could lose weight on…I’d be set for life!
This is funny because my oldest son will hardly eat anything BUT meat and my middle son will hardly eat anything BUT vegetables. We always call him our little granola bar. He loves an afternoon snack of celery! Kids are so weird…
